Here is your chance to own an extremely scarce original Civil War era brass bullet mold. This is the single cavity bullet mold for casting a .31 caliber round ball for use in the rare pocket model revolver manufactured by Josiah Ells of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. According to Flayderman's guide, there were only about 1375 of these revolvers made between 1857 in 1859. They were manufactured in .28 caliber as well as .31 caliber with this mold being the larger size. We know it was manufactured for use with the Ells revolver because on the side of the mold it has a block style lettering "ELLS". The brass material has a wonderful untouched dark patina and the mold still opens and closes just as it should and would cast a bullet still today. Don't miss your opportunity at an extremely scarce Civil War mold
