This is a very attractive non-excavated Civil War eagle sword belt buckle. This is the style that was worn on the sword belt of many Civil War soldiers. It has the beautiful spread wing pattern eagle in the center of the buckle. It has the stippled style design to the background of the buckle face. The eagle has the ribbon coming from her beak that reads the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM”. This is the pattern that has the one piece applied German silver wreath around the eagle. All of the silver wreath is present with a beautiful color. On the back of the buckle it has the original keeper hook intact. The buckle has a great looking tone that you just know saw service. This is an attractive non-excavated Civil War eagle sword belt buckle for your collection.
