What a cool looking gun! This is an original Caucasian flintlock pistol. This pattern is referred to by collectors as a "Miquelet" flintlock. This gun fires a bullet of approximately .63 caliber. It has the original full-length 9-1/4thinch round barrel. The barrel as numerous designs including ones made of inlaid brass and silver with a nice dark ancient color. The action of the lock still has very strong spring and it catches on the 2nd position but slips off of the first position. It is sporting a finely crafted walnut stock with a smooth surface all over. It has the original iron button style trigger. The gun has an overall size of 14 inches. It has had a few spots in the wood repaired and they are mentioned for exactness. This is a very attractive early production flintlock pistol.
