Here is a very neat Confederate document. This piece was written on September 26th 1864 from Post Headquarters in Meridian, Mississippi. It was written by Lieutenant Colonel George W. Law who was with the 1st Missouri Dismounted Cavalry. It was written to Colonel Sale in Richmond. The document states that 8 soldiers have been arrested and sent back to their command. They must have had too much fun and overstayed their furloughs. The soldiers are form Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. It is finely written on high quality blue reed paper and measures 7-1/2 inches by 9 inches in overall size. This is a very cool document.
