What a cool original display piece for your Collection! This is an authentic original Civil War Uniform. This is the one that would have been worn by enlistedman of the Civil War! This coat has had all of the trim removed but you can see the outline where it was at one time. It is priced accordingly. You can have the trim restored but we will leave that for you. The buttons are a wide mix of styles. There are a few of the original Civil War enlistedman's eagle buttons but most of them are replacements that were made after the Civil War. The pillows on the bottom of the coat back have been removed long ago. When you open up the coat you see that the chest and back lining are still intact. It has the entire white cotton lining in the sleeves remaining. There is a little fraying to the top of one of the body panels but it is still holding solid. There are the original inspector stampings still visible and also the two "dots" size marking which is the medium size. As you can see it has the inspector stamps. It has the remnants of the Shafer stampings who was the inspector for the U.S. Army at the Cincinnati location. If you have wanted a good displaying original Civil War uniform that is priced right!
