This is a very good looking flask. This is the pattern of flask that was designed to carry shot instead of the powder. It is 12 inches in length and is 4-5/8ths inches across. The body of the flask is made of leather which is in nice well worn shape. At the top of the flask it has the original brass pour spout with the spring that works but has no spring. On one side of the flask spout it has the makers mark from the American Flask & Cap Company. This flask would probably date from the late 1800s or early 1900s and is priced accordingly. It makes a superb display piece.
