This is a cool looking piece. It is a powder flask that us constructed of tin that was soldered together. It was joined by solder and you can see the solder around the edges. It stands7 inches tall and is 4 inches wide. Constructed of tin it is in great shape and still retains a fine amount of the original black paint. At the spout it has the internal threads with the cap still present. These caps are almost always missing. You can still see part of the DuPont maker marking on the top of the pewter spout. The DuPonts began selling powder in 1802. This is a very neat display piece.
