Here is a very cool gun! This is a beautiful early 1800's flintlock pistol. This gun fires a huge bullet of approximately .57 caliber from the full-length 8-1/2 inch barrel. Along the top of the barrel, it has the "LONDON" location engraved into the barrel. The lockplate is in the original flintlock configuration. The action still works crisply on all positions. The lockplate is engraved by the gunmaker "RICHARDS". The stock of the gun is made from a single piece of beautiful wood with a gorgeous medium tone. On the wrist of the gun it has the oval silver inlay. Along the back of the grip it has the detailed checkering. The medium tone stock looks beautiful against the thick dark color of the brass patina on the triggerguard and ramrod guides. It has a replacement wooden ramrod in the channel under the barrel. This is a fine looking gun from all angles.
