Beautiful design! This is a cool gun! It is an original double barrel percussion pistol from the 1850's timeframe. The gun measures 14-1/2 inches in overall size with the barrels making up 8 of those inches. Each barrel fires a bullet of about .62 caliber in size. The double barrels still have a nice look and at the muzzle of the barrels it has the brass bead style sight intact. The lockplates still catch just as they should on all positions. The plates themselves has the beautifully engraved patterns. The hammers have the engraving on the sides of the hammers. It has the simply but exquisite engraving on the triggerguard as well as the grip cap and ramrod channel guides. It is missing the ramrod in the channel underneath the barrel. The stock is a beautiful looking single piece of wood with a gorgeous grain. The wrist of the grip has the ornate checkering from the factory. On the bottom of the grip, it has the silver compartment that still opens and closes just as it should. This is a cool looking gun from all angles.
