Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the 1897 reunion of the members of the hard fighting Engineer Brigade who served with the Army of Potomac. They participated with every major engagement from the start of the Civil War to the surrender of Robert E. Lee at Appomattox. At the top of the ribbon it has the Engineer Brigade marking. In the center it has the applied stamped brass Engineer Castle insignia. At the bottom of the ribbon, it has the "ARMY OF THE POTOMAC AT BUFFALO, AUGUST 26, 1897". The ribbon is nice white silk that has aged to a pretty tan color. The ribbon measures 5-3/4ths inches by 2-1/8th inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
