Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the 1897 reunion of the members of the 57th Pennsylvania Infantry. They fought with the Army of the Potomac at many battles including Bull Run and Gettysburg. They served all the way to the surrender at Appomattox. During the Civil War they had 161 men killed in action. At the top of the ribbon it has the "12TH / REUNION / 57th / Penna. Volunteers". The bottom has the "Wyalusing, Pa" location of the reunion as well as the September 15th 1897 date of the reunion. The ribbon is nice golden silk that has the dark blue and red lettering color. The ribbon measures 7-1/8th inches by 1-3/4th inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
