This is a beautiful authentic Civil War era revolver made by the firm of William Uhlinger in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is the large of the two styles that fires the 6 shots of .32 caliber cartridges. It is the version that is cvompletely unmarked. It has the full-length 4-1/4th inch barrel with the original brass front sight intact. Uhlinger made these with various names as well as unmarked so they could avoid the prosecution for stealing the Smith & Wesson patent on this pattern of cartridge. The gun is very attractive looking and it has the matching serial numbers of "2,100” on the frame grip and cylinder. The mechanics of the gun work crisply on all positions. The ejector rod underneath the barrel is a well made replacement that appears to be of the period. The original walnut grips are intact on the handle and as you can see they have a beautiful look with almost all of the original factory varnish intact. This is a great looking gun that was only made during the Civil War and is nice looking and complete.
