Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the reunion of the members of the 126th New York Volunteer Infantry. At the top of the ribbon it has the 1862-1902 dates. Then it reads "126th Regiment N.Y.S. Vols". At the bottom it has the Geneva, New York location as well as the August 22nd 1902 date of the reunion. The 126th New York fought in Virginia including the battles of Mine Run, Wilderness, Spotsylvania and Cold Harbor. During the battle of Gettysburg, the regiment was right in the center of the deadly Picketts Charge. The ribbon has a pretty red color with gold lettering. It has the original fringe at the bottom with the original pin bar at the top. The ribbon measures 2-3/4ths inches by 7-1/2 inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
