This is an authentic piece of colonial currency from the 1700's. These early U.S. currency pieces from the colonies that would make up our states are a true piece of history. This one was issued the Pennsylvania colony. It is clearly dated from April 10th 1777. This one was worth the amount of four shillings. Yes that's right at that time currency was still figured in English or Spanish values. On the back of the note it has the countryside design in the center. It also has the amount of value and the printer's name. The note was printed by John Dunlap of Philadelphia. The note measures approximately 4 inches by 2-1/2 inches in overall size and is in attractive displaying heavily circulated condition. It was torn down the center and has been put back together for display and preservation. It comes in an acid free holder. This is a nice authentic early piece of paper money from a colony of the future United States.
