This is a bond that was lithographed by J.T. Patterson & Company of Augusta, Georgia and Comulbia, SOuth Carolina. It has their marking along the bottom edge of the top section. It is signed by authority of the State Treasurer and assistant signed for the governor is Zebulon Baird Vance. Also at the top it has the image of the North Carolina state seal along with the steam train image. At the lower portion of the bond it has the 56 interest coupons intact.
