This is an original tintype image of a 2 Union soldiers from the Civil War. This one is a tintype image of a a pair of Union soldiers in their uniforms. The main soldier is an Sergeant Major holding his bugle and wearing a four button sack coat with oval badge. His friend wears a four button sack coat as well. The bugle is the single loop style that is nice and large just as it should be for a Civil War bugle. The oval badge on the soldier's coat is interesting. Identical badges have been seen on 2nd Ohio Calvary soldiers. This one is the size known to collectors as the quarter plate image. This means that the image measures approximately 4.25 inches by 3.25 inches in size. The image is in the original leatherette case. This is a nice clear image with scarce content and will make a solid addition to your collection. '
