Here is a great displaying piece! This is the sleeve insignia from a soldier's sleeve. It is the cloth insignia that denotes the rank of the soldier being a sergeant. The chevron itself is the classic cloth style worn by the fighting men of the Indian War timeframe. It has the three stripes with the ordnance bomb at the top that denote the rank of Sergeant and the soldier being in the ordnance. They have the pleasing golden crimson with the blue background. The color lets us know the soldier was in the artilleryry branch of service. It is in nice shape and could be put onto a uniform still today. This is a wonderful piece of history!
