This is an original Civil War soldier's letter home from a soldier in the 99th Ohio Infantry. It is written from George Kiser to his sister and is dated from May 16th (1863) from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He tell her that he is feeling better and mentions several of the men and how they are waiting for their discharges. He also mentions sending money home to his family. It is written in brown ink on paper that measures 4-5/8ths inches by 7-3/4ths inches. It comes with a printout of Kiser's and the 99th Ohio's service.
