Beautiful .44 Caliber Model Starr Civil War Revolver With Matching #'s

This is a beautiful .44 caliber Civil War Starr patent revolver. This is the pistol that is known officially as the model 1858 Starr Double Action revolver, this is the shorter barrel version that has the self cocking action style mechanics. The barrel is full-length with a pleasing look with a very nice amount of the original factory bluing remaining on many of the areas. As you can see the frame has very pleasing amount of blue remaining. The six inch barrel is full-length and has the original front sight intact. The cylinder has all of the nipples present and accounted for. The action works well on all positions. It has all matching serial numbers of 1,506 . According to Flayderman's guide they only made about 23,000 of these Starr double action revolvers. The Starr Arms Company marking on the frame is nice and clear as is the New York production location. The original 1-piece walnut wood grips are intact on the handle and are in excellent shape. This is a very nice and all-original Civil War double action Starr revolver with a very pleasing look and all matching production numbers.
