This one has the original cylinder intact. Under the main barrel it has a huge percussion .63 caliber shotgun barrel for blasting buckshot. That was you last line of defense. The hammer has a pivoting striker that turns down to strike the nipple for the shotgun blast. On the ight hand side it has the it has the spring mounted cartridge casing ejector rod that is likely a replacement. Across the top of the barrel you can see the "COL A. LEMAT BRT 69" marking. This one has the serial number "57" visible on the parts including both barrel, the loading gate door and cylinder. The back of the cylinder has the oval style Belgian style proof marking. These numbers are nice low. The ones in the LeMat book by Val Forgette are in the 3,000's. The action of the gun works crisply on all positions. This one also has the distinctive lanyard circle at the bottom of the grip. The original 2 piece dark wood grips are present on the handle and they have the factory hand checkering.
