This is an authentic piece of colonial currency from the 1700’s. These early U.S. currency pieces from the colonies are a true piece of history. This one was issued the State of New Hampshire. It is clearly dated from April 29th 1780. This one was worth the amount of 3 dollars. Almost all of these are punch cancelled but this one is complete which makes it much more desirable. On the back of the note it has the "EXITUS IN DUBRO EST” motto that translates as "The outcome is in doubt” in the center. It also has the amount of value and the printer’s name. The note was printed by Hall & Sellers of Philadelphia. The note measures approximately 3-5/8ths inches by 2-3/4ths inches in overall size. The note is in beautiful un- circulated condition. It has been graded by the PCGS Grading Service and is rated by them as a "Very Fine" note. These New Hampshire notes are the toughest of the states to find of all of the 13 colonies. It comes in their acid-free holder for preservation and display.
