This is one of the coolest guns ever made in the U.S. It is what collectors call the "Palm Pistol". They get their name because of the way the mechanism works. The gun fits perfectly into the palm of your hand and the action works by squeezing your grip to rotate the internal cylinders. The trigger is on the bottom side of the barrel by your finger. They fire .32 caliber extra short cartridges. They are maker marked "CHICAGO FIREARMS CO., CHICAGO, ILL." on one side and the other has "PATENTED MARCH. 6 1883". This one has the original hard ivory grip panels as you can see in the pictures. The ivory is a fancy option that you seldom see on these guns. It still retains a nice amount of the original nickel finish. According to Flayderman they only made about 12,800 of these guns and this one has the matching serial numbers of 2,784. This is a cool little gun that displays quite well.
