Here is a real;y cool looking gun! This is a beautifully designed pre-Civil War era single shot pistol. This one fires a bullet of about .59 caliber from the end of the 8-3/4ths inch barrel. The barrel still has the attractive untouched color on the metal. It has the original bead style front sight intact on the barrel. The top of the barrel has the ornate detail work with a great look. The gun is completely unmarked so it could be sold by any retailer without advertising for the actual maker. In the channel under the barrel it has the small wooden ramrod intact. The action of the lock works crisply on all positions. The stock of the gun is a beautiful medium tone piece of wood with the ornate relief work carving that really gives it a beautiful look. At the front of the barrel the carved horn nose cap is still present with a pleasing ancient color. On the bottom of the grip it has the iron cap present and accounted for. What really makes it stand out is that the center of the grip cap has the face mask. It has a really cool look to the face. This gun is a great looking weapon.
