Georgia State Seal Cuff Button Found in Stevenson, Alabama with Ancient Tag

This is a coo piece. This is a nice displaying Civil War cuff size uniform button for the state of Georgia. On the face of the button it has the famous great seal of the state of Georgia. It has the nice color to the brass on the front with the push as you can see . The original back is present but the shank is missing in action. It has the desirable backmark of "W.G. MINTZER * PHI". This pattern of button is listed in Albert's button book as GA2av and in Tice's button book it is listed as GA203As1. What makes this button really neat is that it is accompanied by the ancient display paper label. The label states that it was found at Stevenson, Alabama. This place is located along the Tennessee River. This is a great looking excavated Georgia state seal cuff button with a neat tag for your collection.
