Beautifully Designed 1861 Dated State of South Carolina Savings Bond
Click on an image to enlarge

This is a great looking Civil War savings bond! It is an original $100 savings bond issued by the state of South Carolina. It has the date of January 1st 1861 written in at the top and states that it was issued from Charleston, South Carolina. Across the top it proudly states "STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA". It has the image of the beautiful South Carolina palmetto tree at the top with the ship on one side and the steam train on the other. It is correctly hand signed and numbered. This style still has one of the original interest coupons present on the bottom of the bond just as it should be. The overall size of the bond measures 13 inches by 11 inches. It displays superbly as you can see and will look even better on your relic room wall.
