Staunton, Virginia 1860 Dated $5.00 Bank of Central Virginia Note with Beautiful Colors

Here is a beautiful note. This is a piece of currency was issued by the Central Bank of Virginia that was located in Staunton, Virginia. It is hand dated from August 6th 1860. The note depicts the cotton wagons on the left. In the center it has the image of the maiden with the dove. The printers used the red and black ink and as you can see it makes it displays superbly. It is made with the blank back which is known as it being "Uniface". Along the bottom edge it is marked by the printer "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY". They only produced 4 denominations of this series from this town. This is the pretty $5 version. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
