GUARD DOG! City of Lynchburg, Virginia 60 Cent Note From 1862

Here is a nice original bank note from the "The City of Lynchburg" of the state of Virginia. This one was printed for the amount of 60 Cents. It was issued on May 1st 1862 and is so printed on the top right hand side of the note. On the left hand side of the note it has the image of the the dog sitting while guarding the safe. It is correctly hand signed and numbered in ink. These notes are printed on the front side and were left blank on the reverse. The note is in nice un-circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. There is a small piece of tape on the reverse that is mentioned for exactness. This pattern of bank note measures approximately 5-1/4th inches by 2-3/8th inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
