This is a beautiful original dug coat size 1830 period artillery corps button. This one has great looking detail. It has the cannon on the front with the eagle perched on top of the barrel. It has the scene on the lined background which retains a fine amount of the original detail. This one has the original shank present on the back of the button and you can read the backmark of "IMPERIAL RICH GILT". This is the style listed as figure AY51 in Albert's button book. It is a great looking 1-piece artillery coat button in excavated condition.
