Cased Brass Bodied Civil War Era English Made Medical Set by Laundry
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a neat although not enjoyable looking piece of medial history from the Civil War era. This is an original cased set of medical implements that was designed to be used for enemas. The multi-part set has the brass body section with the fine quality brass, pewter and bone accessories. On the brass body it has the English maker marking that reads "Laundry / MAKER / So. Thomases Street / SOUTHWARK". The pieces that remain and display quite well. The pieces are still in the original factory casing that measures 10 inches by 5-3/4ths inches and stands 2-3/8ths inches tall. This is a neat display set!
