STATE SEAL! Civil War 1863 Dated State of Alabama $1.00 Note

This is an original 1863 Dated Civil War $1.00 Note from the State of Alabama. It has the likeness of the Alabama capitol in the center of the note. On the left hand side it has the oval portrait of Alabama Governor John Gill Shorter. Down in the lower right hand corner it has the famous map on tree State seal of the Great State of Alabama. The note has the printing that reads "REDEEMABLE IN CONFEDERATE STATES TREASURY NOTES WHEN PRESENTED AT THE STATE TREASURY IN SUMS OF TWENTY DOLLARS AND UPWARDS". It has the green overprint "ONE" across the center of the note. This pattern of currency has the CORRECT printed signature of Alabama Governor Shorter and the hand written signature of the person signing for the state comptroller. It also has the correct hand written ink serial numbers. The note is in lightly circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
