1862 Dated 10 Cent Note from Independence, Virginia in the County of Grayson

Here is a very cool note. This is a piece of currency was issued by the County of Grayson in Independence, Virginia and is marked as such by the county along the top of the note. This note was issued for the amount of 10 cents. It has the date June 2-th 1862. The note has the black ink that makes it displays well. It is printed on the very thin paper so it is amazing that it has survived all these years. The serial number is in ink as well as the signature of the county clerk, James W. Ballard.
