You don't see many Civil War percussion cap boxes priced under $100 these days but here is one! It is an original capbox that was designed to hold the caps for a rifle, carbine or pistol. The leather has a fine look all over. It still has both of the original belt loops present on the back of the box. The seam along the side is separated as you see. It still has the outer flap present with the closure tab still present. On the bottom of the box it has the brass finial intact. It has the inner flap is still nicely intact. The inner compartment has had the lamb's wool removed. The soldier's would often do this to make the percussion caps easier to get to in battle. This is a very nice looking box for the money!
