Great Detail! Excavated 1st Regiment Light Artillery Cuff Button AY43a

This is an excellent detailed excavated 1-piece coat button that represented a soldier of the 1st Regiment of Light Artillery. This button would date from the early 1820's. It is in great displaying condition compared to most with a clear Script "LA" above the number "1" on the front. On the back the original shank is solid as a rock. This is the style listed as figureAY43a in Albert's button book. It will displays as well as almost any other you will encounter.
