Excavated War of 1812 Era English Naval Coat Button With Gilded Anchor

Here is a nice looking coat size button from the War of 1812 era. This 30mm coat button is the pattern that was worn by the English Navy dated from the late 1700's through the War or 1812 timeframe. It is made of brass and has the anchor on the front of the button. There is some of the original gold gilding in the recesses of the anchor. The shank is missing off of the back of the button. It is a neat piece that is over 200 years old.
