Original Complete Pack of 42 Pack of Spencer Carbine Cartridges
Click on an image to enlarge

This is a tough piece of history to find! It is a complete "block" of 42 metallic cartridges for the Spencer carbine. This one has the original paper wrapper wrap around the 42 cartridges on the inside. The paper label is still present on the outside. It also states that they were made by the firm of J. Goldmark of New York. The label also notes that it is for the model 1865 and that the cartridges are .50 caliber in size. The standard Civil War model is .56 in caliber. Most of the time these packs have been broken apart and the cartridges sold separately but this one has all 42 of the cartridges inside and the label is in very fine condition as you can see. You get the wrapper as well as all 42 of the cartridges for $795.00.
