This is a fine original 1864 dated Confederate states of America $50 bill. This is the version with the likeness of Jefferson Davis in the center. Jefferson Davis from Mississippi was the 1st and only President of the Confederacy. This note is in circulated and 100% authentic. The note is correctly hand signed and has the stamped serial numbers. It has the issue date of February 17th 1864 as well as the Richmond, Virginia mark. This is the pattern listed as figure T-66 in Criswell's book on Confederate currency. On the back of the note it has the beautiful blue ink with the "50" denomination in the corners and the large "FIFTY" printed in the center. This piece of currency is in attractive circulated condition. The note comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
