Click on an image to enlarge
This is a fine original 1864 dated Confederate States of America $10 bill. This is the version issued in February 17th of 1864. The scene in the center has the soldiers on horseback pulling the cannon into battle. In the lower right hand corner is the likeness of Robert Hunter who served as Confederate Secretary of State and a C.S. Senator. Before the War he was a U.S. Congressman and Senator from Virginia. This one is nicely hand signed and numbered as it should be. On the back of the note it has the ornate blue printing with the large "TEN" in the center. The note is in attractive circulated condition and is 100% authentic. It has been professionally graded by the PMG Company and they graded it as "Very Fine". This is the pattern known to collectors as T-68 in Criswell book on Confederate Currency. The note comes in the PMG Company's acid free holder for display and preservation.
