Click on an image to enlarge
Here is an original CDV image of Union General Alfred Terry. Alfred Howe Terry (November 10, 1827 – December 16, 1890) was a Union general in the American Civil War and the military commander of the Dakota Territory from 1866 to 1869, and again from 1872 to 1886. In 1865, Terry led Union troops to victory at the Second Battle of Fort Fisher in North Carolina. This image shows the General in his uniform and you can see the star on the shoulder insignia. The reverse of the image has the New York photographer marking of the famous Anthony studio. This is a fine addition to an already great image. It is a nice clear image of this famous Union General.
