Neat Bullet in "Nugget" Of Wood From The Battle of Chancellorsville
Click on an image to enlarge

This is a neat piece! It is a piece of a bullet stuck tree from the Civil War. It is a piece of wood that just covers the bullet itself just like a wooden nugget with a bullet on the side. On one side it has the end of a Civil War bullet embedded into the wood. You can tell that it spent quite a while in the tree because you can see where the tree tried to heal itself around the bullet "wound". The verbal history that accompanied this bullet is that it was found in the 1960's in the Battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia area. Chancellorsville was a battle between the Confederate forces of Robert E. Lee and Union General Joseph Hooker on April 30th until May 6, 1863. It will enhance any Civil War artifact collection.
