Click on an image to enlarge

This is a great group of 10 original cuff size general Service eagle buttons. These have been excavated from campsites throughout the South. These are the style you see on the coats of the men that actually fought the war. They would have adorned the cuffs or collars of the coats of the regular enlisted men of the Civil War. Each button has the classic eagle design on the front with the shield in the eagle's chest. In one talon she holds the arrows of war and in the other the olive branch of peace. They are in various conditions from rough to nice. All of these buttons have the original backs on the reverse and 8 of them have the original shanks remaining. They will have various Civil War era date backmarks. The price quoted is for the exact 10 excavated cuff size eagle buttons you see pictured.
