Here is a great looking piece of currency from South Carolina. It was issued from Columbia, South Carolina. It was issued for the State of South Carolina for the denomination of $10.00. It has the printed date of issuance of March 2nd 1872. It has the beautiful black and green ink that displays beautifully. The center vignette on this note is from a famous painting of Sergeant Jasper rescuing captives during the Revolutionary War. He is one of the few non-commissioned officers to be heralded from that conflict. The back of the note has the beautiful printing with the black and green ink. The note measures 7-1/4th inches by 3 inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
