Very Neat Group of 4 Excavated Civil War Brass Flag Pole Finials

Well here is something that you don't see very often. This is a group of four original excavated flag pole finials. These are the brass pieces that were applied to the end of the wooden flag poles to help protect the wood from getting broken. As you can imagine, they often broke off and were lost. Here is a group of four original finials that were excavated in Civil War occupied areas. The smallest one stands 1-1/8ths inch tall and the largest one stands 5 inches. It is a great group to show how they all varied in size and style depending on the maker. The one has one side that has came off to reveal a small section of wood inside. They display quite well and you get all four of them for $195.00.
