A Couple of years ago, I bought several things from the estate sale of the family of the most famous of all gangsters, Al Capone. Among the pieces were several of the edged weapons that belonged to his son, "Sonny" Capone. This is This is a Case XX reproduction of the knife they made during WWII, and features an etching of Davy Crocket on the blade. The scabbard has been lost to the ages. The knife comesd beautifully displayed in the original factory box. The lid of the box has the image of Crockett in his coonskin cap. This Case XX 1836 Style Bowie knife has the original black composite handle held in place by three brass pins. The end of the blade has the Davy Crockett etching, and it has the large brass full crossguard. It measures 14-1/4th inches overall with a 9-3/8ths inch blade (measured from the tip to the guard). The box measures 16 inches long by 9 inches wide by 2 inches high. The knife is also accompanied by a copy of the auction catalog as well as the original note from Capone's granddaughter. The last image show Sonny Capone with his father. It's a great piece of history from the Capone family.
