This is a fine original non-excavated Civil War soldier's belt buckle. This is the pattern with the arrow style hooks intact on the reverse of the buckle. The lead in the back of the buckle is present with a fine look and nice condition and all three of the hooks are intact. The face of the buckle has a nice and clear " US" on the brass that can be seen from across the room. The brass of the buckle has mellow golden tone with the nice honest wear which gives it this pleasing look all over. This is a fine piece for any your collection.
