Here is one that I had a very tough time finding. Occasionally you see the Shiloh Survivors medal that looks similar to this design but this is the earlier and tougher to find version. it is made of silvered bronze metal. It measures 3 inches by 1-3/4ths inches in overall size. The top bard is in the form of three tree limbs suspending the medal attached by two chains. The front of the medallion is designed like a forest image of Shiloh and around the edge has the wording of "SHILOH BATTLE FIELD ASSOCIATION, *APRIL 6-7 1862*". The back side of the medallion has the "WE NOW DRINK FROM THE SAME CANTEEN" motto with the center scene of the U.S. shield, two soldiers stand supporting American flag, symbolizing veterans' reconciliation. This one is in beautiful condition. This piece has been in my personal collection but I have bought a new treasure and am letting a few things go. Now is your chance. This is the only one of these medals I have ever owned.
