Excavated Confederate Made Gardner Pattern Rifle Bullets
Click on an image to enlarge
This is a nice excavated bullet style known to collectors as the Gardner pattern. These are purely Confederate in manufacture. They have the two rings on the side of the bullet and the insert design on the base. This is the pattern illustrated as figures #169 to #175 in the McKee & Mason bullet book. These were recovered from camp and battlesites throughout the South. We added an image at the end to show what the cartridge looked like that these bullets came from. The price quoted is for one original excavated bullet like the ones pictured.
